Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)
What is this product?
NOW Foods Acetyl-L-Carnitine 500 mg is a dietary supplement supplied as 100 Veg Capsules (vegetarian capsules). It is imported from the USA.
What are the key ingredients?
Per label: Acetyl-L-Carnitine, 1 g (1,000 mg) per 2-capsule serving, from 1,205 mg acetyl-L-carnitine HCl. Other ingredients: Hypromellose (vegetable cellulose capsule), rice flour, stearic acid (vegetable source) and silicon dioxide; not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nut or sesame ingredients. The label states this highly bioavailable form of carnitine supports cellular energy production by helping transport fatty acids into the mitochondria, and supports normal neurotransmitter activity.
Who is this product suitable for?
For adults only. Consult a physician if you are pregnant or nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. This is a dietary supplement rather than a medicine, so it is not a substitute for a balanced diet or for prescribed medication.
